AMI New Lynn is breaking new ground, with its first ever pop-up store. Recently opened in January, the store has already had some great responses from customers and staff alike. Erica Wu, Store Manager, AMI New Lynn says “It’s great to have launched a pop up store to minimise disruption for AMI’s west Auckland customers whilst the permanent store gets a makeover. We really feel as if we are in the heart of the action in the mall and are looking forward to assisting many more customers”.
With the exception of making cash payments, customers will be able to conduct all the same transactions as in any of our 62 permanent AMI stores. This includes enquiring about and covering themselves for home, car, contents, boat, life and travel insurance, as well as the ability to lodge a claim in these areas. The pop up store will remain in place until the permanent store re-opens in LynnMall on Monday, 2 March 2017.
But the pop up store has longevity and stamina too. It has been designed in a way which makes it easily portable and fast to set up and pack down – perfect for use at events, like the home show, or to assist customers after a natural disaster, such as the recent Kaikoura earthquake.
This initial pop up store will give the business some great insights into how AMI’s stores of the future could look. Customer feedback is critical to this and a customer survey has been commissioned to find out what they liked or disliked about the new look store.
